I grew up in Halifax and graduated from Silver
Lake Regional High School. I currently live in Plymouth with my husband and our three cats.
I graduated from Nichols College with a Bachelor's
degree in business economics. After working in the business field for a few years as an accountant , I realized
that I wanted to be a teacher. I went through the teacher certification program at Bridgewater State College where I
was able to student teach in a third grade class at West Elementary in Plymouth. In February 2003 I received my teaching
license from the Department of Education.
In May of 2006, I earned my Master's Degree
in Elementary Education.
Before
coming to Norwell, I worked as a substitute teacher, including long-term positions as a fifth grade teacher, a second
grade teacher, and a math and reading specialist. I spend my summers teaching for a Special Education Summer Program
in Kingston.
In
addition to teaching, my husband and I have a small cranberry bog in Kingston. We spend the fall harvesting the
berries and delivering them to Ocean Spray.
When
not working, we enjoy traveling. Our favorite places to visit have been Alaska and Hawaii.
